Youth Challenges and Sayda Intervention

Some of the challenges youth in Southern Africa face include high levels of unemployment, nonfunctional youth support structures, shortfalls in the education system, discrimination of qualified ex-offenders in the job market, and social issues, such as the rise in substance abuse and violence. Additionally, they may encounter psychological and emotional stressors related to these challenges, such as anxiety, depression, and trauma.

High Unemployment Rate (youth)

High unemployment rates make it difficult for young people to find work and support themselves.

Sayda Intervention

                   Sayda Youth In Business Project:

  • Designed to tackle the prevalent problem of youth unemployment in the Southern African through a business resources walk-in centre set up.
  • Our primary objective is to provide young people with business expertise and enhance their entrepreneurial skills by availing entrepreneurial support and resources.
  • Our mission is to elevate entrepreneurial standard of young people in Southern African through business information, advice and skills development.
Non-functional Support Structures (Youth)

Our youth are not failing the system; the system is failing our youth. Ironically, the very youth who are being treated the worst are the young people who are going to lead us out of this nightmare. Youth Participation In Decision-Making

Sayda Intervention

                   Sayda Career Guidance Programme:

  • Guides, help, inform young people and individuals to acquire the information, knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to identify career options, and narrow them down to make one career decision.
  • Our primary objective is to reduce the share of young people most at risk of being left behind in the labour market.
  • Our mission is to help to empower young people who are unemployed work seekers with little or no employable skills training, to develop their potential and enable them to find and keep jobs.
Education System Shortfalls (students)

Most learners fall behind the rest of the world due to the standard of education. South Africa’s education system is ranked as amongst the worst in the world, access remains very unequal in terms of quality, inefficient in terms of learning outcomes, and still shaped strongly by the apartheid legacy. Access to quality education.

Sayda Intervention

                   Sayda Tutorial Institute Project:

  • Provides learners with quality and globally recognized education to thrive in a safe, beautiful learning environment at affordable fees.
  • Our primary objective is to encourage students to become critical thinkers & to explore and experiment with their talents & discover their purpose.
  • Our mission is to develop intellectually curious and capable young people who are selfless contributors to both local and global communities, and who aspire to be ethical and compassionate leaders.
Discrimination of Qualified Ex-offenders (Employment Equity)

The academically qualified ex-offenders from inside/outside prison often face public/private market attitudes, and post-incarceration stigmatization. Labour Guide.

Sayda Intervention

                   Sayda Aftermath Graduates Project:

  • Advocate for the academically qualified but ostracized ex-offenders to gain access in the job market through a “Take 5" Ex-Offender Empowerment Programme (T5).
  • Our primary objective is to collaborate with prisons and private/public sectors to collectively pave way for the qualified ex-offenders into the work force.
  • Our mission is to cut down on re-offending behaviours by engaging the legislative authority to enforce and effect "Take 5" Ex-Offender Empowerment Programme" (T5) into the labour law system.
rise in Substance Abuse (Youth)

Young people often face pressure from their peers to conform and engage in risky behaviors.

Sayda Intervention

                   Sayda Youth In Sports Project:

  • Provide opportunities for young people to develop sports career pathways to higher leagues.
  • Our primary objective is to enhance the young people's participation and quality of performances in sport.
  • Our mission is to assist the disadvantaged young people to realize sports as an alternative means of developing themselves by availing support resources and bridging the gap between talent and sports profession.
Dissuasive System (Psychological & Emotional Stressors)

The pressure to succeed and the fast-paced world can lead to mental and emotional health issues among young people.

Sayda Intervention
  • Aimed at honoring Top Southern African Students with excellent achievements and celebrate their hard work, instilling a sense of pride, while we Motivate and Challenge envious underachievers in their midst to go an extra mile.
  • Our primary objective is to to honour and celebrate the achievements and hard work of Southern African students in academics and motivate student excellence in their endeavors.
